The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
